Washington State University

Here at the great establishment of Washington State University I am currently enrolled in the Business school and am majoring in Marketing with an emphasis in economics. I am planning on graduating at the end of this school year in May of 2010. I have always been a people person and love to talk and relate to others so I thought the best way to do that was to become a marketing major. I am active on campus and love to keep busy by playing intramural sports, and I am in the Finance Insurance and Real Estate club, as well as the Marketing club. I think the best way to enhance my college experience is to absorb as many different aspects that this University has to offer so that I can not only have fun but meet a lot of new people and try to find my true calling in life.
I have found something that I enjoy doing for work while on campus, I am currently employed by the Washington State Center for Real Estate Research and am happy with the work I do and thoroughly enjoy working with the great people who also work there. Like every college student, money is a little tight, so having this job not only helps me get some extra cash in my pocket but I can also focus on what I want or don’t want to do with my future career.
I think that Washington State University is a great place for students to get out of their comfort zone and find out who they are and who they want to become in the future. Once I was enrolled and started classes here and experienced everything that this University has to offer, there is no way that I could go to another school. Everything from the Cougar football and basketball games, to the great education that I have received here makes the college experience one that will help me shape who I am today and the man I will be in the future.
Going to a University that is in state but isolated enough where you feel independent and not reliant on the outside world makes the social life here unbelievable. The distance between this university and the hustle of the “real world” makes it so that the students are unified, this feeling is extremely hard to replicate because there are very few places that offer the isolation combined with the world class education that WSU offers. On the weekends very few people make the twelve hour round trip back to the Westside, this forces the students to become unified and to get along with one another.
On campus there are numerous clubs, job opportunities, great golf, and not to mention intramurals that help to further enhance the college experience. These things along with the education and sense of pride that Cougars have for their school makes Washington State University the best choice for myself and there isn’t another University in the nation that comes close to giving the students the experience that they will have when they attend WSU.
