Clubs

I love to stay active and pursue things that I am interested in so that I can become more informed on subjects that could possibly be a large part of my future. I am a marketing major and thought that it would be a great idea to be involved on campus and try to explore the world of marketing before I go into the real world with a marketing degree. The more experience you have the easier it will be to be productive when given a task involving marketing. We have just started the club but have plans to enter marketing competitions, planning trips to Seattle and Spokane to visit some marketing firms to get our foot in the door for future employment opportunities.

I recently have joined the Finance Insurance and Real Estate club, otherwise known as the FIRE club. I thought because I am interested in real estate, and the fact that I am apart of the center for real estate research, this club would fit my interests and help further develop some of the skills needed in the industry and is also a great way to make connections in the industry. We are planning a couple of trips at the moment, we are going to Spokane and Seattle to visit some insurance firms and real estate groups such as Cushman and Wakefield and Colliers. I am planning on using the insight that these clubs will give me to make a decision on what type of job I can see myself in after I graduate from college.
